No. Orbit works with existing Zhongji vending machines that support the standard E-commerce payment protocol (FunCode 1000/4000/5000). No physical changes — just a configuration update on the machine.

Typically 1–3 seconds. The customer pays via QR Ph, our backend confirms the payment, and the next time your machine polls for a command, it gets the dispense instruction.

Automatic refunds. When the machine reports a dispense failure, we trigger a refund through PayMongo within minutes. The customer gets their money back automatically.

Yes. Sign up at paymongo.com (free), get your API keys, paste them into Orbit settings. We store them encrypted (AES-256-GCM). PayMongo handles the actual payment processing.

Yes — as many as you like, on any plan. The machine ranges on each plan (Starter 1–3, Growth 4–15, Pro 16–50) are recommendations, not hard limits — you can run 10 machines on Starter if you want, and the plan price stays the same. We recommend moving up a tier as you grow because the platform service fee drops at each tier: 1.0% on Starter, 0.7% on Growth, 0.5% on Pro. At higher transaction volumes the lower fee more than pays for the higher tier.

A small percentage (0.3%–1.0% depending on tier) we take from each successful transaction. It comes out of your settlement — your customers never see it. Combined with PayMongo's 1.5%, your total cost per transaction stays well below traditional card processing.

The 14-day free trial is available on the Starter plan. No credit card required. Growth and Pro skip the trial — at signup you pay the annual plan fee and access activates immediately once your email is verified.

We never see card numbers or wallet credentials. PayMongo handles all sensitive payment data. We only store anonymous transaction IDs, amounts, and dispense status.
